Taiwan's Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival is held at Shifen village, not Pingxi city. This happens twice a year. 1st festival is on the 15th day of the 1st lunar month. The 2nd is during the Mid-Autumn Festival. In between these 2 festivals, sky lanterns are released nightly. There's no entrance fee.
